We did a drive through only here. It is a beautiful park, thick with many trees. Since we pull a 39' 5th wheel, we wanted to know in advance if we could fit. The trees are very close to the pads and we are not comfortable going there with the unit and trying to use the S/O's. Many sites would not allow the canopy. Other than the closeness of the trees, its a beautiful park and TX has done a great job here.
This is a small, but quiet park with an abundance of wildlife. A family of four racoons visited our site each night. Many species of birds. We came for peace and quiet, and were not disappointed. The park is located about 35 miles south of Texarkana, off Hwy 59. The sites are very large with trees between each site. We pull a 39' 5th wheel with 3 slides and had ample space. Our only complaint was poor water pressure, but we will definitely return.
This is a new park located on Hwy 59N. New sites are being constructed. At present, no showers or restrooms but are in the planning stage. Sites are large with plenty of room for all slide outs. The owners live on-site and are very friendly and helpful. They will help you set-up if needed. There is a 15 acre lake for fishing but don't recommend getting in the water--lots of snakes. When completed, this will be a good park for overnight or extended stays. SFA University is just up 59N. We would return when in the area.
We spent a week with our granddaughter(9yo), who had a wonderful time. Beautiful, small park off Hwy 84. Some traffic noise. We will return. Park is very popular and fills up fast every afternoon. Suggest calling ahead. TX State RR within park and walking distance.
